INTRODUCING THE STUDY MODELS of SCULPTOR AND TEACHER Stuart Mark Feldman
As an anatomy, sculpture and drawing instructor for over thirty years, Mr. Feldman needed study aids in order
to properly train his students in the classical study of sculpture. Dissatisfied with the quality of those available on the
marketplace, he decided to create them himself. These works were designed on the principles he taught as an instructor and
used in his classes. Now teachers and students everywhere can benefit from these accurate and beautiful models. But you don’t
have to be an art student in order to enjoy the beauty of these pieces, for they are works of art in their own right, which
will enhance any home or office.

LA MACHINE ELÉGANTE (ecorché)
An ecorché is an
anatomical sculpture showing the muscular and skeletal structure of the human body. Throughout the history of western art
the ecorché has been an indispensable study companion for painters and sculptors. You may have seen
the several ecorché figures advertised in art magazines or displayed in art stores. Many of these works rarely get
larger than 24” tall are not very artistic in their representation, and some are so inaccurate to an actual human body
that they are virtually useless to the artist. In contrast, “La Machine Elégante” is 36”
tall with sharp detail and superior
accuracy, but most of all, it was designed by Mr. Feldman to have the grace and form of a real
work of art. Because it was created from a living model, it
shows the musculature of a living human being. This was the ecorché that Mr. Feldman actually used in his own classes.
Because of his confidence in their casting
skills, Feldman has given the job of reproducing your copy of “La Machine La Machine Elégante” to Stanek
Studios.

THE FOUR FEATURES
Available from Stanek Studios, LLC are larger than life size
reproductions of the four features of the human face, (Eye, Nose, Mouth, and Ear) designed and created by sculptor and teacher,
Stuart Mark Feldman. These are not the “washed out” reproductions of Michelangelo’s David that you see commercially
available, but original sculptures based on the teaching principals Mr. Feldman
used in his own classroom. Mr. Feldman’s students spent many hours drawing, painting and sculpting these works to perfect
their knowledge of the forms of the human face. Now you too can benefit from their study. Each piece bears
the artist’s identifying stamp. These works of art can be purchased individually or as a group.
